A Data Migration is the process in which master data and transactional data from a legacy is extracted and uploaded to another system in a mass execution to create or update records. The Data migrations is a step that is part of any greenfield project in S/4HANA on premise.
Here in this blog I will demonstrate through short videos some tools for updating and creating mass records. Also item give precious usage tips based on my experience in data load projects.

Through transactions code FS15 and FS16 it is possible to export all General Ledger Accounts between environments.
02 – General Ledger Account transport (Duração 2’39”)
This video contains subtitles in english. The transaction OBY9 permits to transport the accounts in a chart of accounts between different environments by request transport. but it is important to be aware of possible problems with environments that have different existing data.
03 – Create your own LSMW in less than 10 minutes. (Duração 11’35”)
It is one of SAP’s most useful transaction. It’s responsible for the automatic processing of transactional data and Master Data creation. Essential for Data Migration and data updating. Check also the blog about LSMW.
