With the new release of S/4 HANA 1909 which had added many new functionalities in SAP EWM embedded versions, one more simplification is rendered in area of ”Material staging with release order parts in repetitive manufacturing.

Prior to S/4 HANA 1909, material staging as well as consumption in repetitive manufacturing was applicable with one IM managed storage location, thus warehouse does not have bin level visibility of inventory.

S/4 HANA 1909 has introduced staging and consumption from EWM managed slocation.

This blog is written to explain how material staging can be conducted from Warehouse to Production supply with the 2 EWM managed storage location.

The below diagram gives a clear indication of integration for diagram 1.

.The initiation point of the staging will be REM planned order.

With MF60, the staging of the release order parts for multiple orders can be executed.

System creates a outbound delivery on saving the MF60 which in turn creates posting change in EWM. This posting change creates staging warehouse task which moves component from Whse to PSA
