SAP DOCS SAP Material Management Price Control “V” and “S” Updating

A Material has “V” (Moving Average Price) as the Price Control method in the Accounting view in the Material Master but sometimes you can find the “S” (Standard Price) has a value,
Why?

The main reason is Accounting reference. Normally the standard price is updated annually using the last MAP for last year; so that, the Accountant can compare the new current MAP price with the last MAP price for last year recorded as the statistical Standard Price.
